3 Easy Scarecrow Craft Ideas For Your Little Ones

The foundation of the scarecrow dates back some thousands of years to the Egyptians and Greek farmers. A scarecrow is a dummy or trap which is mostly made in the shape of a human being. But man-made ones are wooden frames often dressed in old clothes and installed in the fields to frighten the birds and animals. Scarecrows are normally associated with the harvest season when farmers try to protect their newly cast seeds, shoots, fruits, and ripened crops. But in many Montessori schools, teachers do scarecrow crafts with their students as a provocation to make them curious about nature, and the seasons of the year. Moreover, the fun factor associated with these crafts is undeniable.
